A pig slaughterhouse budget covers more than the line machines. Define the process scope and identify who supplies each building and utility interface. A quotation is useful when its inclusions and assumptions are clear.
Separate the cost packages
- Process equipment: handling, stunning, bleeding, scalding/dehairing, dressing, offal, inspection, rail transfer and any cutting equipment.
- Building and structure: floors, drains, wall finishes, platforms, rail support, loading and cold-room doors.
- Services: water, heat, electricity, wastewater, refrigeration, ventilation and sanitation.
- Delivery: packing, freight, customs, local transport, installation, commissioning and training as agreed in the contract.
Make quotations comparable
Give suppliers the same operating brief, drawings and interface list. Ask each offer to state equipment scope, supply limits, buyer services, commissioning criteria, exclusions and spare-part support. Review installation and civil-work responsibilities separately.
Why a price cannot be taken from a photo
A photo does not establish model, controls, animal range, throughput, materials, utilities or contractual delivery scope. Confirm those from engineering and commercial documents.
